Normally brewery news from Belgium consists of large established beer-makers closing while tiny new ones begin.
We live in strange times as there have been no brewery closures officially notified since the Guide went to press in the Spring. And we only have one officially sighted new brewery, which is really a confirmation of a tip-off already flagged in the Guide’s "Future breweries" section.

Additionally, we cannot claim that Domus brewery has started to brew again because it never officially stopped. Absolutely truth as we all know is a fiction in the minds only of lawyers and politicians but as a concept is notoriously unknown to large swathes of the brewing establishment. Bearing that in mind, we thing that Con Domus and Nostra Domus are produced at the brewery at the back of Belgium’s longest-established and most laurel-resting brewpub in Leuven. Any other brews, such as the old seasonals, we suspect are not.
